Round Arch
Round Arch - an arch formed in a continuous curve; characteristic of Roman architecture.
This is derived from the Roman Architecture. This feature gives the arches a continuous, smooth shape and a decent look which in contrast with the pointed gables and columns.
The architecture was trying to potray the traditional style used in churches. Yes, the feature supports the architects intentions.
